ORLANDO, Fla. – June 22, 2010 – Deborah Potter and Stephen Seeram have been named national sales managers for the Villas of Grand Cypress, a Four-Diamond property located in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando, adjacent to Walt Disney World and just minutes from Universal Studios and Sea World.
Potter, who has more than 20 years of experience in hospitality sales, marketing and operations, will cover the corporate and association accounts in the Midwest region. She previously held positions at The Peabody Orlando, PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Currently a member of Meeting Planners International (MPI), Chicago & Orlando chapters, Potter is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Chicago Chapter, and a PCMA Convene Magazine task force committee member.
Seeram joins Villas of Grand Cypress from the Omni Resort at Champions Gate where he was senior sales manager. A veteran in the Orlando hospitality industry, Seeram also served as specialty sales manager at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and worked for Doubletree Castle Hotel in Orlando, Sage Hotel Corporation–Radisson Hotel in Cambridge, Mass., and the Peabody Hotel Group–Holiday Inn Boston in Somerville, Mass. He will be handling the Northeast section the U.S. and Canada for all market segments.
Seeram was awarded the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, “Rising Sales Manager Star Award” in 2005 and the Doubletree Castle “Sales Manager of the Quarter” (third quarter 2004).
