Thanksgiving at The Villas of Grand Cypress
Here at the Villas of Grand Cypress we are thankful for the Grand Cypress Culinary Team who will be allowing those of us who are cooking-impaired to celebrate Thanksgiving with a delicious turkey dinner. They will be up early in the morning cooking turkeys with all the trimmings so our guests, members and local friends who have ordered “Turkey on the Fly” can sleep in and pick up their turkey dinner at their leisure between 12-noon and 4pm.
And for those who would like to join us at NINE18 on Thanksgiving Day, we will be serving a Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner and an à la carte Turkey Dinner starting at 3pm. For more information you may call us directly at 407-239-1999.
Turkey on the Fly!
Pre-order your “Turkey on the Fly” dinner with all the delicious trimmings by November 15, and bring your dinner home Thanksgiving Day between noon and 4pm. Cost: $27 per person (5 person minimum.). Turkey on the Fly dinner includes:
- Whole Roasted Turkey 12 lbs. to 24 lbs., for party size 5 - 20 people
- Creamy mashed pototes
- Savory turkey gravy
- Holiday sausage stuffing
- Pan-roastd acorn squash
- Honeyed carrots
- Steamed haricots verts
- Fresh cranberry relish
- Cypress pumpkin pie, sweet cream
- Assorted dinner rolls and whipped butter

Thanksgiving Dinner includes:
Roasted corn and butternut squash chowder, fried sage
Autumn field greens, sundried cherries, sunflower seeds, cinnamon sugared pecans, aged white cheddar, cranberry balsamic vinaigrette
All natural Tanglewood Farms fresh turkey, simply roasted, pan gravy, Idaho mashed, cranberry orange relish, spaghetti squash, haricots verts, honey carrots
Spiced pumpkin pie, sweet cream
Dulce de leche ice cream
Gingerbread Cookie Martini
- 1 oz. Absolut Vodka Vanilla
- 1 oz. Baileys Cream Liqueur
- ½ oz. Kahlua or Starbucks Liqueur
- ½ oz. Gingerbread Syrup
- ½ scoop Vanilla Ice Cream – semi melted
- Super Fine Sugar for rim around martini glass
- Crushed Gingerbread Cookie
- Gingerbread Cookie for garnish
- Whipped Cream
Prepare your Martini Glass:
Make the rimmer for your martini glass using a crushed gingerbread cookie and super fine sugar. Mix the 2 together on a small plate. Pour some ginger syrup on a separate plate. Gently dip the rim into the syrup. Next, dip the rim in the cookie and sugar mixture. Now you have a yummy cookie rimmed martini glass.
Now you are ready to make your martini! First, fill your martini shaker with lots of ice. Then add 1 oz. Vanilla Vodka, 1 oz. Baileys Cream, ½ oz. Kahlua or Starbucks liqueur, ½ oz. Gingerbread Syrup, ½ scoop of semi-melted vanilla ice cream. Now give your drink a really good, long shake. Using the strainer, pour and enjoy! Garnish with whipped cream and a gingerbread cookie.
